Q1. How did this exercise help you build empathy with prospective users?
Through this exercise, I could tell the needs and problems when the users encounter problems. Usually, the interviewees won’t conceal their true needs and problems when they were interviewed.
Collection of users need would help to classify and analyse the information during the interview. Some needs might be personal issue while some might be general approval.
Q2. How did the clustering of information help you to understand user needs?
This is a new way to collect the information of users. The clustering of information provide a way to get the need of users and understand the reason of problem the users encounter.
After categorizing different situation, the users need would be common and clear.
Q3. What was difficult or challenging with the technique? How would you do it better next time?
I think the most difficult with the technique is categorizing the needs and put them together. The second one should be recognition of the users need. Sometime finding the need of the users is not enough, recognition of the reasons behind the problems is more important, but this is a hard work.
In order to improve the result of our research, it is really a good method to take notes during the interview, and use some marks to symbol them which can help us to categorize them sooner.
