Q1. What kinds of information and insights did it give you about the usability of the prototype?

As user role in the experience, I thought the flow and structure of the website when I followed the recorder’s indication. When I met trouble to get next step or felt confused in the process that I knew I need to avoid same setting in my website. The experience of being a recorder to observe and recored users’ emotion and words is helpful. Some detailed behaviours provide their real feeling, like frowning or deep sight means he has trouble in operation. Sometimes, users may not tell all feeling or suggestions after using, but we can get them from their behaviour and emotion. In addition the common or question users told is their direct feedback.

Q2. What aspect of the technique worked well or were frustrating?

User observation is an effective way to collect users’ feedback directly. However, for recorders, if they want to get the complete information that they have to high focus on users’ each behaviour and emotion change. And the user know someone is recording him, he may not use the website with a confutable situation that will cause the result not be correct.
