• How did taking the position of an Extreme User influence your thinking relation to the design challenge? Was it different to how you usually generate ideas and empathy?

Taking the position of an extreme user provides me a new perspective to understand user’s need; the problems and methods of solving problems are magnified and obvious. In the process of consideration, it is really important to establish their behaviors, thoughts and feelings, and then figure out the needs they might have. In addition, taking the position of extreme users is not only give solutions for extreme users, but also select problems which mainstream users might have, because the needs of extreme users usually overlap with the needs of mainstream users.

  • Did any of the other design thinking techniques (design provocation cards, stories, storyboards, etc.) help you to work through ideas and collaborate with your group members?

Storyboards is an interesting way to express designing ideas in the visual way. It can strengthen the problem in user experience and show your solution intuitively. By putting a human in the picture, storyboard could help us share ideas and persuade others of the value of the idea.
