1.How did taking the position of an Extreme User influence your thinking in relation to the design challenge? Was it different to how you usually generate ideas and empathy?

Once I created my Extreme User, I tried putting myself in his position and way of life to imagine what are his needs and interests in relation to the design project. It is not exactly the same than thinking something for yourself, as you have to be constantly thinking about how the other user might or might not want, not you. I guess it is a constant battle in our heads about what I think the user needs and what the user thinks.

2.Did any of the other design thinking techniques(design provocation cards, stories, storyboards, etc.) help you to work through ideas and collaborate with your group members?

It was very useful to put all our minds together with different ideas to try to come up with a great final idea. Our final idea was actually the combination of four of our ideas, and with that we wrote stories to see how it could work. The storyboard is a great way to show and explain other people about your project, but the narratives and post-it ideas were best to work within the groups and come up with something great.
