1. Describe your experience of creating personas from different users’ perspectives gathered in the interview data. Was there enough commonality between the 4 people interviewed to form a coherent persona? Or did it make more sense to create a second different persona?

Answer: At the beginning, we interviewed each other and asked some questions about our supermarket experiences. Besides that, we also asked some personal questions like “age, gender and name”. Then, we analyzed and combined our data to capture the commonality information among us and form a coherent persona. I think whether 4 people is enough to form a coherent persona should depend on the interview topic. To the supermarket experiences research, it was totally enough to get the essential information from 4 people. Yes, it will provide more essential information by creating a second or third different persona. Also, too many personas will disturb the designer.

  1. Do you think your final persona(s) was successful in generating empathy with users? What would you change to make it better?

Answer: I think it can generate empathy with users but it can not cover comprehensively. One method that can improve it is that interview more people and ask some more relatable and correlative questions.
