1. Describe your experience of creating personas from different users’ perspectives gathered in the interview data. Was there enough commonality between the 4 people interviewed to form a coherent persona? Or did it make more sense to create a second different persona?
Creating a coherent persona is easy for us when we talk about public transportation (bus) since we are all student from china, and at same age, so there are some commonality between our 4 people. For example, since we are all oversea students, so most of us choose bus because of the convenience and low cost, and complain bus about no “next- stop” announcement. I think we should create a second different persona, because all my group member live near USYD, but I live in city, so we have different motivation, frequency, and duration.
2. Do you think your final persona(s) was successful in generating empathy with users? What would you change to make it better?
Yes, I think our final persona was successful since we all have the similar background. So we understand our target group, and the improvements we want to reflect are useful. But when mention the public transportation, I think workers, business man, housewives and other group of people all can be the user group, the opinions of them should be different than students in our university. So we should interview more users with diverse demographic factor, and get more information from them.
