1 How did this exercise help you build empathy with prospective users?

We did a lot of readings before making sure the real user requirements. We tried to put ourselves to the position of the users that we read in the context. As many of us already have the similar expierence as the users, we could easily understand the situation and the depress when some frastaction occre. Through the tutorial I found that if a designer real wants to know the users’ requirement, he or she has to imagine itself to the users and try the experience in reality. Feeling the utility experience and get reflection is the best method, in my opinion, to make a brilliant design. As the point of ¬†targeting the prospective clients, trying and fix is the best way to do that.

2 How did the clustering of information help you to understand user needs?

Clustering and collecting information about users just like the mapping and reducing in the cloud computing. Through the clustering we could catch key information that really matters, and filtering and gathering similar information. This activity could help us improve efficiency.

3 What was difficulty or challenging with the techniques? How would you do it better next time?

Some information looks similar to other, when following the bottom-up structuring techniques, I’m confused by those topics. Improving methods is seperate different information into new catagories next time.
