How is this sketchnoting technique different to the traditional note taking?
Sketchnoting has different working system compared with traditional way of note-taking,it requires creativity and concentration.Skethnoting actually needs me to be more focused on concepts and how these ideas can be connected or framed logically, instead of simply writing down the words on a line by line basis,or just copying from the screen. Also, sketchnoting presents a more fun and more memorable result, which sketchnoter would like to spend more time to review.
How does this visual approach facilitate communication of your ideas? Conversely, how does it prevent it?
With this visual approach it is flexible to specify ideas, either with colors or with shapes. For instance,a flow chart will give the reader a direct understanding of the connection in your note. However, people have different views of how to sketch or how to format, sometime it may lead to misunderstandings.
Personal challenges as a sketchnoter?
I find it difficult to capture the core ideas when listening to the speech and thinking about how to organize at the same time. Also due to poor drawing skill, another challenge for me is to visualize the things in my mind.
