1) How did physically acting out help to explore ideas?

It was an interesting exercise as I initially felt uncomfortable and self concious. It helped as it was a more “free” way of exploring a problem space using people who in turn were able to experience and suggest as we were acting. You could feel more in your body and think aloud yourself as the process unfolded.

2) Did you refine your ideas and solutions to the problem through bodystorming? In what way?

We found that bodystorming allowed a creative thought process and let us consider the physical limitations of a given situation by mapping out an environment. It also helped us explore personality and the “human” element of the problem.

3) What was difficult or challenging about bodystorming?

It was an interesting exercise as I initially felt uncomfortable and self concious.

Only using the object in the classroom was both freeing and creative but also limiting in thinking about the problem space as we couldn’t capture the proposed environment.
