1)How did physically acting out help to explore ideas?

Ans: This was a unique experience. As a team, I was involved in solving problems of sleeping in aircraft. It was a fun experience and I could gather some really good insights from my group mates. Acting out the scenario let us understand the troubles people face while sitting in economy class, general troubles of washroom, odour, sleep positions etc. It was a great activity.

2)Did you refine your ideas and solutions to the problem through body storming? In what way?

As explained, body storming gave us a better idea of what people face as a trouble sitting in aircraft, especially in long journeys. By enacting we could see the troubles that passengers face. It definitely improved our ideas.

3) What was difficult or challenging about body storming?

It was somehow challenging for me to completely feel the situation. Especially the cases where passengers sitting position, leg space and sleeping positions were to be understood in a seat in economy class of an airplane, it was not completely clear. This was challenging.

4)Does body storming lend itself to certain types of problems?

Could be. As suggested earlier, enacting and getting out the solution is not easy in certain scenarios. Hawthorne effect is sometimes expected. But if the audience are enthusiastic, this might contribute to a lot of scenarios which are not expected at the begining.
