1) Describe your experience of creating personas from different users’ perspectives gathered in the interview data. Was there enough commonality between the 4 people interviewed to form a coherent persona? Or did it make more sense to create a second different persona?
It was a very different experience all together of creating personas. We were 4 people and we divided ourselves into two groups. We interviewed each other on experience of going to supermarket, what is the thing that they love, what is that they are not happy about. Many other questions on cultural grounds were asked like demography, background, their experience in their country, what was different here were understood. Then individual variables were created on each an every category. There were a lot commonalities between two of our group members and the final persona was based on the consolidated traits that were common overall. We were very delighted to obtain the final persona and named the category as “Impromptu shopper“. It was a fun filled exercise with lot of exploration.
2) Do you think your final persona(s) was successful in generating empathy with users? What would you change to make it better?
The final persona turned out to be one who is amongst all of us. We all are someway Impromptu shoppers, all of us go out shopping as soon as we are in need of something or sometimes for fun. Our final persona definitely could connect and generate empathy with users. Since he whole exercise was done amongst only 4 of us, one change that i would like to carry out would be to take opinion of about a bunch of people like about 50-100 people from different categories to further refine the persona.
