How did this exercise help you build empathy with prospective users?
We can understand their wants, and needs by seeing their respond of the interview. We can know their stories, their family concern, and their hobbies. Not only focusing the answer they give, but also their personality.
How did the clustering of information help you to understand user needs?
As we write down the interest, motivation, etc. of our client. We can see there are patterns, in which same issues occurs in every client. For example, some navigation needed or they need reliable tools. Although the issues seem broad and it’s hard to determine the specific requirement, but there are general ideas that we can conclude.
What was difficult or challenging with the technique? How would you do it better next time?
The challenges are it’s hard to determine the scope for relevant issues, and to classify all observations into groups. When we group the observations, there some information that are not fit in the group, but not quite different either. I should write down the observation clearly, so it will be not ambiguous when we grouping them, because at this tutorial I don’t write them in detail.
