How did this exercise help you build empathy with prospective users?

– Interviewing your client and getting to know him/her a little better helps a lot in creating empathy with our clients.

– Reading and understanding the interview transcript later on on your own and clustering the information into different separate groups helps you understand better your client’s needs. Which also means that your empathy (which was good) will improve.

How did this clustering of information help you understand user needs?

We might have a slight idea of what our client needs while having our designing process. Clustering the gathered information helps us understand more and better our client’s head and go deeper on our research to execute a better final solution.

What was difficult or challenging with the technique? How would you do it better next time?

The technique itself is not difficult. You just need 2 things:

1. Express inside the post its as if the usar was speaking.

2. More time to analyse thoroughly the information in order to have a truly working clusters. We need more time to make this kind of exercises in class so that everyone gets to understand perfectly the way it has to be done.
